"Nothing is more material, more corporeal than the exercise of power ..." Michael Foucault

recent years has increased the need for a real and effective output to theme children / youth in relation to criminal experiences. Viable age of accountability has become the leading cause of sorrow to those who have to legislate and also for those who require immediate solutions from different areas ... (and effective).
However, I think we are forgetting also the leading role of society ... (in the cause and effect) ... And we're not
involving the true and deep root of this painful reality.

Matías A few days ago, making a comment by Rodrigo post on the blog " of ahead to 2011, said:

often involves greater criminalization garantismo towards a poor, uneven, mediocre. In short, very unhappy words, it would be like hiding the problems under the rug.
Not to mention that most violent crime, the more obvious and less punishment is coming from above. Of course this in no way justifies a greater permissiveness to bottom: should level pa 'above. The issue is that everything feeds (corrupt politicians, corrupt judges, corrupt police, corrupt businessmen, who rob giles, evaders and consumers parts Warnes, etc.).

I totally agree with each of these words, as Foucault himself addressed the issue with maximum depth in his book Discipline and Punish. "

Each time was managing the experience of human beings in relation to economic systems and the reigning power. Work, education, health, systems of social inclusion (or exclusion ...), the forms of penalty and punishment, immigration policies and fertility. Thinkers that marked a milestone in the study and a new vision of these issues have been Deleuze, Guattari and Foucault.

From this philosophical standpoint and social Foucault expressed as arises in the spirit of an era the idea of \u200b\u200b"punishment to replace the punishment " ... expresses himself on the subject: " How far will combine the power and what that punishes humanity? ... "
The issue is how to leave intact the " Humanity" of Being, to which she is the one that highlight the limit set for revenge. ...
How far can the power to punish a man ?....
- So that does not undermine their humanity. ...
And certainly many readers will say, that the person who needs such a penalty has been attacking other humanity, but I wonder, can cure violence with more violence? Can we pass and enforce the value of life to a being that has been undermined and violated since the beginning of its existence? Did in our country the criminal justice system falls short of the circumstances? Is it the best option for attempting to change the problem?

... I also wonder
a child " born criminal? ...
What brings us every day to be more and more unscrupulous with the pain of others? ...
How can we create a socialist action through the social fabric? ...
Why do we allow any kind of violence camouflaged holster from estates of powerful spells with white gloves ...?

Questions ... ..
are just questions ...
Nothing but questions ... ...

The Replacements Hntai

The other day, this post , would tell our friends about one of the questions which had led me to study Economics.

I always stuck with something we said Professor Carlos Leyba " economists must take critical thinking to society" . (I recommend you take the time to read the note linkie why, although a while back, not rubbish).

I interpreted his statement as follows: " economists should not marry anyone and must examine everything, including their own ideas and constructive criticism to offer society" . At one point, is similar to the " methodical doubt" of Descartes, but without believing in God to stop doubting one thing: there are things just not sure, as no doubt do the rest too.

The question on which I counted the other day, was Why not end poverty and economic problems of those issuing more money?

This post may seem too silly to the eyes of economists. However, in our country appears to have arrived at a consensus as regards uncontrolled monetary emission and its consequences, so the question takes on a sense. That sense is, of course, limited. None of the people who believe that further stimulate aggregate demand through issuance will not cause a hyperinflationary spiral can sustain this if we talk about eg. a growth rate of printing money "infinite" (though this is an exaggeration, surely there is a level of emission growth from which it deemed controversial enough.)

A "nice" explanation of why it is not possible to give unreservedly which fetches an inflationary process that finished eating and / or getting worse all the "benefits" of this policy is to think what would happen if there were only right to sell and is liable for (at least) two people. If we increase the stock of money and give it equally to both consumers will be willing to pay more to be done with that one either (think of what a PC would. At an auction of the masterpiece that interests them, assuming no have nothing else to spend, because all basic needs are already covered for all).

In this way, would explain that the price of the rise, causing inflation (assuming that the object in question is a consumption basket of an average family would arrive at this conclusion.)
is true that a world so unreal and caricatured difficult to extrapolate to real life in the world in which we live. He was about to go looking for arguments, but suddenly I found myself reading this passage from DH Robertson I want to share.

"As things are, the ease with which advances can be made in any kind of money lubricates the wheels of material progress; but the result is that people tend to confuse the coins, which are simple certificates of a right to obtain goods that may not even exist, with the goods themselves, and overwhelmed by hardships and disappointments of every kind. Adam Smith once compared money to a road which passes the market all the produce from the region, but that in itself does not produce one iota of anything. No one would dream of eating one way, and yet, man constantly surprised to discover that money can not be eaten, as they say that the Turks are surprised every year winter comes
.*
In a way, it seems to have much to add. But as noted above, in the case of the science of disappointment, is welcome criticism and dissent.

"Nobody made him want to eat a rock with potatoes?

MI

"The Yumy" ... just a kid .. o. .. punishment of a child? Imagine

A busy day ... ... was born fourteen years ago "The Yumy" ... ninth child of a family that was completed after twelve shoots ....
Survived in a settlement (close of this cultured city) .. back payments " La Matanza" (strong name! If any ... ..) ... without water ... without decent housing without the indispensable ... ...
The Yumy never had national identity ... was not a citizen .... at least legally speaking. It showed
much less than the real age! Was physically the type of 11 years ....
No school was ever ... Ever! Rare
... right? So close to ours. So close to this booming city .... Yet there are human beings .... no proper name ... no education ... without knowing what rights have ....
But he had something very valuable: a best friend! ! If you have identity, Matias called ... and they were like brothers ... Mati's mom ... (Loly) loved him like a son to Yumy .. ..! offered him affection and was willing to take to get the document!.
.. This young boy helped his neighbors, build boxes, errands. Was supportive.
His eyes always looked to the horizon ...
Maybe looking for something .... Or see farther than the other .... O envisioned a dream .. ...
The Yumy a few days ago, near the date of the Magi .. got sick and went .... in the same way he lived ¿?...
Nameless and school ... well ... silently ... invisible in this society at this time ....
Maybe one day we understand that whatever happens to the "Other" it happens to "Nos.otros" ... at some level ... ..
This is my humble tribute to a child ... invisible ... unknown ... That not be news for any reason, you will not receive honors of any kind, which will remain in the retina and in the soul of some beings, is missing in the life of his best friend ... and will live strong in the hearts of many ... here cerquita just ... for payments ... " La Matanza " ....

"The Nobodies" ...
Eduardo Galeano
Fleas dream of buying a dog, and nobodies dream of escaping poverty, that one magical day suddenly rain down good luck, it pours good luck, but good luck not rain yesterday, not today, not tomorrow, not ever, or drizzle falls from the sky good luck, even that no one calls and although they chop the left hand, or lift the right foot, or start the year getting broom.
The nobodies: the sons of nobodies, the owners of nothing.
The nobodies: the no, the no, running Hare, dying through life, screwed rejodidos:
Who are not, but could be.
Do not speak languages, but dialects.
Not religions, but superstitions.
It do not make art, but handicrafts.
Do not have culture, but folklore.
Who are not human beings, but human resources.
Do not have faces, but arms.
Do not have a name, but numbers. Not
contained in the universal history, but in the crime reports in the local press.
The nobodies, who are not worth the bullet that kills them.

"Imagine no possessions, I wonder if you can ... "
John Lennon

Imagine that everyone can "decree" something. We could do anything, but suppose there are any restrictions: for example, that we can not definitely the "private" ownership of the others but if we can "borrow" and choose the way in which we will return.
Now let's imagination side. We looked at the following note Nation with public debt data that showed us The 0.33%. We also find that Bulat Thomas in the Chronicler , think close to what we proposed here , regarding the payment of debt reserves and inflation.

One of the questions motivated me to study economics, was why it did not end poverty and economic problems of those issuing more money.
That is, if anyone has the little machine and you can print and distribute it to whom you want, then the problem would be political. Unfortunately
time and some liberal friends taught me that the economy has certain other restrictions *. That may be one of many steps to take to "mature."
However, I must admit that that question for many years of my childhood and adolescence had gone unanswered. Monetary macro classes helped somewhat, though I never considered a supporter of monetarism by what, the end, seems to be open ...

If anyone could print anything I wanted, what would be the effect on the economy?.

liberals understand very well about the problems this causes and often make ad nauseum. Any adherent of the quantity theory of money is going to argue that prices will rise because the government or the central bank would be conducting a very loose monetary policy (issuing more money than necessary to ensure that transactions are carried out in appropriate measure.)

Those who believe in the intervention, but try to be moderate and not marry anyone, understand the liberal critique and understand how much it may cost us the vices of the political end of ruining our currency. So the question arises: who or who is the currency?. If for example we all had some money, or debts and credits referred to is money, from a certain perspective, monetary stability would be a public good (a good that we can all derive satisfaction and the satisfaction they get around not limit the ability of satisfaction other) **.
If all we are interested in monetary stability (read inflation moderate, or none) or to put it in terms more democratic if the majority of us are interested in monetary stability, it is because we have something to lose if that is not observed. If we have anything to lose is because: i) On one hand, we have both cash holdings and deposits of various types and receivables and payables denominated in local currency; ii) have a horizon of predictability helps us to have a better quality of life (something similar to what happens with job security, applied in the monetary field.) Reading the post by Rodrigo I realize that predictability is not enough. At least if disputes are not resolved markets symmetrically. That is, if I know that inflation will be at least 25% annually, but I have no chance to grow my income in the same way as prices rise, then I find missing. The biggest problem is that not even know if someone is winning (although for those who believe in the concept of "inflation tax" and "seigniorage", possibly makes it easier to link these phenomena to some of the achievements of the ruling political In recent years, and possibly to come). Furthermore, those who may suffer the greatest consequences are non-unionized workers and particularly those in more precarious working conditions and lower income (in addition to those who have no work).

I do, if I had a chance to enact something, there would still be the problem of legitimacy: no one chose me for that. But anyway, there is also that many of those elected will not compete the authority to issue. And do not sympathize much with these asymmetries and representative election system, so for now, if I could just declare something to quench your own share of selfishness, then maybe you would decree something similar to what is decreed.
could, for example, that the Banco de la Nación Argentina (or another bank) lend me the money that I choose me to buy a house. And not only that. also stipulate unilaterally when pay. possibly choose to pay it all at once at maturity in a period when I no longer have the responsibility to do no way to pay and that it affects my reputation (the most logical thing would be to secure a date and go to better life).

I am also very nice being able select the rate of interest payable (but always best to agree a 0% rate. Or why not a negative?. I pay and get paid for me to use).

Or perhaps you when you go to borrow money to the bank do not ask gently: "Mr. / Ms. How much would you, when we want to pay and what rate you would pay or get paid? ".

Perhaps this is a fine example of the trilemma of the impossibility of the indebtedness of most mortals, firms and governments ... for everything else, there DECRET-CARD ...

Greetings

MI

* An interesting oddity is the restriction that has the capacity of machines and men to produce an increasing amount of notes and coins increasingly buy less (have less purchasing power).

**
really is relative, in an inflationary context creditors are harmed depending on the magnitude of the nominal interest rate and inflation in the period, which determine some real interest rate.
By contrast, in a deflationary context, adversely affected the debtors.
